Time comes at you like a train/or a whale shark
Time has sometimes overwhelming way of moving. Sometimes it feels like a fast train rushing past and other times it feels like a whale shark, massive and steady, filling up your entire vision.
As I reflect on the start of this New Year, I am thinking a lot about the people who make the journey worthwhile. Every year we experience the natural rhythm of saying goodbye to those we have worked with. It is a bittersweet part of life.
What I have realized is that when I look back, I don’t just remember the company names or the logos on my paycheck. I remember the people. I remember the colleagues who shared their wisdom, the teammates who made the hard days lighter, and the friendships that grew between the meetings.
While it is hard to see people move on, the most wonderful part of starting new chapters is the chance to meet someone new. Every new job is a doorway to a new friend or a new mentor. I am heading into this year with a heart full of gratitude for those I have known and genuine excitement for the people I have yet to meet.
Wishing you all a year of meaningful connections.
