My Life Underwater: 15 Years of Scuba Diving
For the past 15 years, the ocean has been my ultimate sanctuary. What started as a simple curiosity has grown into one of my greatest passions in life: scuba diving.
As a certified Rescue Diver with over 600 dives under my belt, I've had the immense privilege of exploring some of the most breathtaking underwater ecosystems on our planet. I have incredible memories from destinations like the vibrant reefs of Palau, the exhilarating drift dives of Komodo, the hammerhead shark havens of Cocos Island in Costa Rica and Isla Socorro in Mexico, to the unparalleled marine biodiversity of the Galapagos Islands.
People often ask me what keeps me going back into the deep blue. While diving has undeniably taught me invaluable life skills, like the absolute necessity of keeping a calm head and breathing through stressful situations, that's only a small part of the story. Most of the time, slipping beneath the waves brings me profound relaxation, pure joy, and a lot of fun. There is simply nothing quite like the peace of floating weightlessly, surrounded by the quiet beauty of the marine world.
Here's to the next 600 dives and the endless wonders still waiting to be discovered.
